For decades, George Brown’s ESL classes have been taught at the Casa Loma campus in mid-town Toronto. However, two weeks ago, students, faculty and staff moved to a newly renovated location at 341 King St. (east of Sherbourne St.), taking over two floors of the Toronto Sun building. The new location is minutes away from other St. James campus facilities, including the International Centre, Chef’s House Restaurant, and the academic schools of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Business, Health Sciences, Community Services and Early Childhood, and Arts and Design.

As well as offering a truly “downtown” experience to both our international and immigrant students, our new classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as SMARTboards that interact with the internet. Other features include a spacious student lounge and common areas, a dedicated library, computer labs, study areas, and a reflection room, along with beautiful views of downtown Toronto.

ESL students will still be able to access a wealth of other college services, including free Entry Advising for postsecondary pathways, registration support, sports and fitness, counseling, career advising, bookstore, and student-run activities and clubs.

Join us at our new location for a  tour and information session about upcoming classes, available on the following dates:

  • Thursday, July 12 from 6pm – 7pm
  • Thursday, July 19 from 11am – 12pm (noon)
  • Thursday, July 26 from 3pm – 4pm

These sessions will be held at our St. James campus at 341 King Street East, Room H355.
