Canadian Immigrant: Connecting immigrants with SMEs

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the engine of Canada’s economy, accounting for about two-thirds of private-sector jobs —or more than six million!. That means that small businesses are in need of skilled workers, especially within those industries facing labour shortages. However, connecting SMEs with the latent talent pool of underemployment skilled immigrants in Canada is often a challenge, because there is a lack of awareness on both sides.
