On September 6, 2012 the Toronto Board of Trade, TRIEC and ACCES Employment partnered to hold a special Speed Mentoring® session for members of professional immigrant networks.

Developed by ACCES Employment, Speed Mentoring® offers mentees an opportunity to meet one-on-one with professionals in their industry (mentors) to obtain sector-specific information, resources and advice.


Highlights:

This particular session brought together over 60 experienced professionals and members of professional immigrant networks for a fast-paced, high-energy mentoring and networking event.  Skilled immigrants new to Canada with experience in the Finance/Accounting and Information Technology (IT) sectors connected with professionals in their respective sectors and received industry-appropriate feedback, resume and interview tips, and valuable advice on how to advance their careers in Canada.

Members from six professional immigrant networks participated: Association of Filipino Canadian Accountants (AFCA), Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC), CIMA Canada, EXATEC Ontario, Jobs in Canada and the Latin American MBA Alumni Network (LAMBA).

Participating PINs partners: Gandy Associates English Communications Training, Scotiabank and Sun Life Financial.
